For the 12 months following this transition, constituents who call the Office’s prior phone number will automatically be transferred to our new line. “My heart is heavy with the news of Public Defender Jeff Adachi’s passing. I knew Jeff to be a tireless advocate and fighter for San Francisco’s marginalized communities. He was a person who refused to fit into any mold. He was the City’s Public Defender, a filmmaker, an entrepreneur, a father and husband. San Francisco has lost an irreplaceable public servant.”
